Possible Future Demolition of the Historic River Forest Women's Club to be Discussed
I can't believe it's happening so soon. After promises by the Village that the building will be forever preserved, the Women of the River Forest Women's Club will soon hand the building over to the Park District of River Forest. Are they being lied to, deceived, mislead, betrayed, double-crossed, duped, hoodwinked, conned or just plain bamboozled?!
Buried in the Draft Comprehensive Plan for River Forest Illinois, May 2003, page 22:
"Areas identified for potential new single family homes include the site of the River Forest Women's Club on Ashland Avenue..."
